Sher Badar hits 100 off 26 balls

JEDDAH — Sher Badar of Pak Kashmir brought Western Province Cricket Association's Afternoon Tournament to life when he blasted 100 runs off 26 balls against Jotun Paints here recently.
In other action Fuchs Alhamrani thrashed Nestle Milo, AMI Juffali beat Zultrack, Jotun Paints got the better of Pak Kashmir, China Airlines downed Elaf and My Care Hala Green scraped past Contraco.
Pak Kashmir, batting first, was tottering at 54-6 when Sher Badar came in and started slogging. He hit 11 sixes and six fours to get to his century. He added 85 runs for the seventh wicket with Hamid (43) off 37 balls. He plundered 59 runs in the last three overs alone. Ijaz claimed 2-21 and Zafran 2-21. Jotun Paints still managed to achieve the victory target of 184 for the loss of six wickets. Shafeeq scored 57, Saleem remained unbeaten on 41 and Shabbir hit 27. Afsar Khan bagged 2-29 and Hamid 2-12.
Another interesting match saw My Care Hala Green bowl out Contraco for 135. Shahzad top scored with 34 and Fakhar added 22. Osama Mirza accounted for 2-19 and Owais 2-24. My Care Hala Green, in reply, was tottering at 3-9, when experienced Mohsin Mirza took the game away from Contraco with an unbeaten knock of 57. First he scored 56 with Shahid (38) and then 45 with Habeeb (18) to claim victory on the last ball. Shahbaz took 2-26 and Kaleem 2-34.
In another encounter Nestle Milo scored 116-7 in 20 overs against Fuchs Alhamrani thanks to Sajjad for his 44. Irfan grabbed 2-15, Khoban 2-20 and Abdulrazzaq 2-24. Fuchs Alhamrani reached the target (117) without loss. Fareed remained unbeaten on 53 and Rashid on 59.
Elaf Advance, batting first, against China Southern Airlines posted 152-6. Ijaz Butt remained unbeaten on 30, Usman hit 27 and Butt 20 not out. Fahad scalped 3-32 and Mohammed Asim 2-32. China Southern Airlines, in reply, was home with 153-2 with Awais scoring an unbeaten 60, Qasim adding 36 and Faheem 19. Majed took 2-28.
AMI Juffali piled up 170-8 against Zultrack with Imad making 35, Asif 30, Shuboor 27 and Habeeb 25. Emad took 2-24 and Arif 2-31. Zultrack lost by 10 runs as its chase was restricted to 160-7. Arif remained unbeaten on 44 and Emad scored 36. Imran took 2-17, Najam Uzbak 2-25 and Shaboor 2-29.
