Faisal, Emir of Makkah region, will start a three-day inspection tour of Taif and nearby governorates Saturday. The prince will be briefed on development projects under way in the governorates as well as those that have already been completed. He will also review reports submitted by local municipal councils listing the needs of the residents. The visit will start in Taif city where the prince will inaugurate Prince Khaled Al-Faisal Chair for Obeying Laws and the new civil observatory, said Sultan Al-Dosary, director of studies and public relations in Makkah region. Prince Khaled will also attend the inauguration ceremony of Taif Festival 2012, Al-Dosary said. On Sunday, Prince Khaled will tour Turbah and Al-Khurma governorates where he will preside over the local municipal council meetings. He will also meet notable figures and residents of these areas. On Monday, the prince will travel to Ranya Governorate to chair the local municipal council meeting. “Municipal council meetings are on the top of the Emir's itinerary. During these meetings, projects implemented and those under way in the regions will be discussed and the residents' needs for certain services will be looked into. The reasons for undue delays in implementing some projects will be put on the table for discussions” Al-Dosary said.
