The responsibility of controlling the scourge of joyriding and car drifting should be shared by all government agencies, according to Lt. Gen. Sa'eed Al-Qahtani, director of Public Security. He also called on the media organizations to raise public awareness on the dangers of reckless driving. Al-Qahtani confirmed that traffic and security authorities across the Kingdom have drawn up integrated plans to combat joyriding, particularly prevalent at the end of the academic year. He also emphasized that those found guilty would be regarded as felons by law enforcement agencies. Gen. Al-Qahtani made his plea while addressing a workshop organized by the Criminal Evidence Department in Riyadh.
