Okaz newspaper was awarded the Media Distinction Shield, the highest prize to be awarded for best media coverage of the Haj. Lt. Gen. Sa'eed Al-Qahtani, Director of Public Security, handed over the shield to Muhammad Tunisi, Editor-in-Chief of Okaz, during a ceremony at the headquarters of Public Security in Mina on Wednesday. Prizes were also distributed to journalists. The shield is granted on the basis of professionally dealing with the Haj events and the information medium's abidance by precision and credibility in its coverage of Haj events. Also, Al-Ekhbaria satellite channel won the distinction shield for visual media. Muhammad Al-Malki, Deputy Director General of the channel received the shield.
