Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Samer Majali said "Dammam is considered Gulf Air's second hub and the introduction of additional flights cater to the summer demand between Dammam and Bahrain, and emphasizes the importance we attach to this key market. It also highlights our business strategy to concentrate on high-demand routes to ensure our core customer base is served effectively and efficiently." "We have been flying to Saudi since 1950, and operating to Dammam since the new airport opened in 1999. Since then we have continuously expanded and strengthened our presence connecting customers from the far corners of the Kingdom to the world through our extensive network, one of the largest in the region," he added. "The departure and arrival schedule of the additional flights have been timed in such a way that they benefit both international and regional travelers whether on business or pilgrimage."
