King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, receives Sheikh Abdulaziz Aal Al-Sheikh, Grand Mufti, and other senior scholars in Jeddah, Saturday. The audience was attended by Crown Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; senior princes and officials. — SPA JEDDAH — King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saturday received Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Aal Al-Sheikh; Maj. Gen. Mohammed Nasser Ahmed Ali, Defense Minister of Yemen; Nasser Judeh, Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikhs, senior government officials and a group of citizens. Welcoming the Grand Mufti and other scholars, the King said: “I am one of you. I serve you all, the young and the old, asking only for the help of Almighty Allah to guide me on the right course in serving our faith and homeland. For me, this is the most important issue.” King Abdullah said he was happy to receive the scholars and praised their service to the religion and the homeland. “I have seen how sincerely and honorably you are serving your religion and homeland,” he said. “I ask of you all, young and old, to pray that Almighty Allah maintains the bounteous favors of safety, security, peace, tranquility and stability we have been enjoying. I am just a brother of yours, serving you and serving the Islamic World and Arab nations. This is, praise be to Almighty Allah, the course we have taken. We are real brothers to the Arab and Muslim nations,” the King said. The Yemeni defense minister handed over the King a message from President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi. Earlier, Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Defense Minister, held talks with Maj. Gen. Ali. He said that the Kingdom and Yemen have common interests, and that the two defense ministries seek to enhance bilateral cooperation. The Yemeni minister praised the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) initiative that supports Yemen's stability and security, lauding the efforts exerted by King Abdullah toward Yemen. The meeting was attended by Chief of General Staff General Hussein Al-Qabil, Director General of the Office of Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Al-Bunyan.
