The Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh and its consulate in Jeddah have completed the necessary arrangements for the presidential elections Friday. The Egyptian presidential elections are scheduled for May 23-24. The number of the Egyptian expats who are eligible to vote in the Kingdom total 262,000. In addition to casting their votes in person, they will also have the option to send their vote by mail. Most of the presidential candidates' representatives have arrived at the embassy in Riyadh to witness the voting. Egyptian voters in the Kingdom are especially crucial as they represent 49 percent of the total Egyptian expat population. According to the statement issued by the embassy and consulate, voters are allowed to select one candidate only pointing that the candidates' representatives are allowed to follow up and oversee the casting and sorting out process without intervening in the elections process. The presidential front runners including Abdul Monem Abu Al-Fatouh, Amr Mousa, Hamdain Sabahi, and Dr. Muhammad Mursi. The re-election round is set to take place from June 3-9 with the final results expected on June 21. __
