Corruption Commission (NACC) has warned contractors against failure to comply with contract specifications. The warning was issued after NACC received a number of complaints from citizens about poor road conditions. Streets and roads have potholes, cracks and bumps and poor asphalting, NACC said in a statement, noting that some work sites do not have signs, lights or concrete barriers to alert motorists. NACC inspectors and engineers visited several construction sites and found violations of specifications and poor supervision. NACC sent letters to mayoralties to repair the defects at the expense of contractors or supervisors and hold responsible any government official found to have neglected his duties. It urged citizens to report violations or any types of corruption to the commission.
