By Maher Abbas Saudi Gazette RIYADH – The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors signed here Tuesday a partnership agreement whereby four hundred Saudi youths will get job-training opportunities at Naghi Motors. The deal was signed between Dr. Hamad Al-Oqla, TVTC Deputy Governor; and Hazm Sami Jamjoum, Executive Director of Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors - Hyundai, in the presence of Dr. Ali Bin Nasser Al-Ghafis, Governor of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC). Hazm Jamjoom said "the company is committed to training and qualifying Saudi youth and preparing them to participate in the development the Kingdom is witnessing in all fields. The auto market has been growing largely over the past years." Trainees will be supervised by experienced technical staff from Hyundai Company and the Centennial Academy, which will implement the program, Jamjoom pointed out. All trainees will get theoretical and practical training and a chance to go to South Korea, he said. By the time trainees complete the program, they will have acquired solid technical expertise and attained high-level performance, he noted. Dr. Al-Ghafis reiterated TVTC's keenness to sign similar agreements with the private sector to Saudize jobs and train Saudi youth on different fields of technology. "This agreement reflects the private sector's awareness of its role in creating job opportunities for Saudi youth after qualifying them for work." The agreement focuses on attracting Saudi youth to job-training opportunities where they get two-year training, he said. The governor lauded the continuous cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and the Human Resources Fund in this regard. He told the Saudi Gazette that youth all over the Kingdom are welcomed to apply for the job-training program, however, the training venue will be in Jeddah. "Soon the TVTC will sign strategic partnership agreements with Hyundai agents in Riyadh and the Eastern Province." He added that there are 100,000 male and female full-time students attending the TVTC institutes located all over the Kingdom where they are trained on different industrial fields such as food and plastic manufacturing. The TVTC governor has recently met with the South Korean ambassador to the Kingdom and discussed ways to open South Korean training institutes in the country. Moreover, he pointed out, "we also signed agreements with Toyota and Ford as well as German companies to provide creative Saudi youth with job-training opportunities." Huh Tae-Wan spoke highly of the Saudi auto market as being one of the largest in the region noting the high sales achieved by South Korean vehicles in the market. Waleed Mohamed Yousuf Naghi and Huh Tae-Wan, Minister Counselor, South Korean Embassy in Riyadh, were also present during the signing ceremony. __
