The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) has recently held the forum of private-sector training which was supervised by Dr. Ali Bin Nasser Al-Ghafis, governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation. The training was organized by the Technical and Vocational Training Council (TVTC) in Makkah region in cooperation with the JCCI. Dr. Rashed Muhammad Al-Zahrani, TVTC Chairman, attended the forum. JCCI secretary general, Adnan Hussain Mandoura, said the forum seeks to polish the training skills of Saudi youth and equip them what necessary qualifications for the market. “This forum is important because it deals with the quality of training provided by private centers and focuses on the latest developments in the field of technical and vocational training and investment in this field,” he said. Abdullah Abdul Aali Al-Harbi, head of private training unit at the TVTC, said the latest TVTC report revealed that the there are 163 male and female investors in the sector of private training and there are 142 establishments, 28 of which are higher institutes in addition to the regular training institutes. Over 19,400 male and female trainees enrolled in these institutes are benefitted from such programs, he added. __
