Ghafis, Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), has hailed the progress of the TVTC training programs in the disciplines of electronics, sheet metal, electricity, welding, engines and vehicles. The governor, during his visit to the training workshops at the technical institute here, took note of the progress in conducting various training programs to prepare a workforce for workshops and laboratories. The programs are aimed at overcoming the psychological barrier of trainees after their graduation and subsequent induction into the labor market. Congratulating the trainees, Al-Ghafis touched upon the importance of the training institute which was set up 60 years ago with the aim of hosting several programs in partnership with the private sector. The institute also provides intensive English language programs. Misfer Bin Abdullah Badran, manager of the institute, said the governor's visit will have a positive impact on the functioning of the training facility. -SG __
