Al Saudi XI thrashed AOT GFC through Mazher heroics, Crown Steel won against Usman Gems and My Care Hala downed Dopco Stars in the WPCA Premier league which is sponsored by Dopco company.
Otex, AAA, GD Design and Hala International School emerged winners in the Morning Tournament.
Mazhar Abbasi was in awesome touch as he stroked all over to get to his 100 in 79 balls and blasted his career best 154 in 104 balls. He added 125 runs for the fifth wicket with Sarfaraz (54) to tally 330-9 . Afzal made 26 and Abdullah Saad 21 not out. Zeeshan took 4-46 and Qaiser 2-49.
AOT GFC, chasing more than 8 runs per over, started confidently as both Faiq Habib (25) and Faisal Mehmood (54) put on 71 for the first wicket. But once Dr. Amir sent back both in quick succession, Nadeem Saad took over from Dr. Amir to take 7 wickets of AOT and bundle it out for 172 to win by 158 runs. Nadeem took 7-34 runs and the remaining 3 wickets went to Dr. Amir for 34 runs.
Dopco Stars batted first against My Care Hala lost a wicket early. But Ali made 82 in 46 balls and Usman stroked 60 in 39 balls to make 102 for the second wicket. Once the partnership was broken it lost 3 wickets. From 143-4, Dopco lost the way to be restricted to 244 as Yasir took 2-34, Waqas 2-47 and Faheem Afrad 2-58. Ejaz made 30.
My Care Hala, in reply, went about in a clinical way to get to 245-5 in 190 balls to win by 5 wickets as Kashif Shafeeq hammered 86 and Waqas remained unbeaten on 76. Earlier Rahat made 20. Khurram took 2-48 and Ajmal Khan got one. There were 45 extras.
Crown Steel scored 307 against Usman Gems, thanks to a quick fifty by Abu Huraira. Earlier the former champion slumped from 126-1 to 179-8. Ahmadullah made 65 and Shafeeq 42 in 19 balls. Abid Naseem hit 27 and Irfan 20. Imran Sarwar took 4-55, Moazzam 2-52, Zahid Anwer 2-68.
Usman Gems began well with both Moazzam (62) and Imran (66) put on 117 for the first wicket. But once both were sent back Gems slumped to 244 as Hussain Bhatti grabbed 5-47, Ejaz Mitha 3-38 and Abu Huraira 2-42.
AAA skipper Naveed Nawaz first plundered 13 boundaries to compile 61 in 24 balls to post 162-4 and then took 4 for just 3 runs with a hat trick in his first over to restrict Orbital Horizon to 142 and win by 20 runs.
Ashraf made 34. Babar took 2-18. Afridi made 38, Ashfaq 35 for Orbital Horizon while Fakhit took 3-24. Hala School achieved the winning target (169-6) in 90 balls as Umer smashed 61and Salman remained unbeaten on 33 in reply to Sana Sports 168-6. Kashif made 40 while Waheed and Adnan made 30 each. Hassan scalped 3-22.
Otex defeated Johnson Control Blue after scoring 193-5 as Kaiser made 52, Harun 34 and Imtiyaz 28. Ahmed took 2-28 and Farrukh 2-31. Johnson Blue, in reply, was all out for 135 with only Furqan making 34. Asad grabbed 4-19 and Talib 2-28.
GD Design was declared winner against Johnson Green.
