Two youths were awarded SR100,000 each for displaying rare courage and bravery in rescuing a family trapped in a recent fire in their apartment. The youth were given the award as per the directives of Crown Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior. Lt. Gen. Saad Bin Abdullah Al-Twaijri, Director General of Civil Defense, honored the young men at a ceremony here Monday. The two young men heroically risked their own lives in rescuing the family from its Al-Nuzlah Al-Yamaniya residence in Jeddah. The fire started when a gas cylinder exploded, reports said. YouTube and other social networking sites showed the two climbing up nearby buildings to reach the apartment where the family was trapped. They broke a window so that the family members could get out. The video also showed a child who was trapped inside being rescued by them. __
