Prince Muhammad Bin Nawaf Bin Abdul Aziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom, patronized Tuesday the graduation ceremony of the second batch of students who graduated from universities in the UK and Ireland. In his speech, Prince Muhammad said: “I'm very proud of you all and your excellent achievements. I'm happy to see a large increase in the number of students sent on scholarship and today I see before me over 4,500 graduates.” I extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz on this occasion, Prince Muhammad added. Prince Muhammad congratulated the graduates on achieving degrees from prestigious universities in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He said that the King Abdullah Scholarship Program is a distinguished initiative which reflects the vision of the nation's leadership and the fact that the development of citizens and country can only be achieved by education without compromising our cultural and ethical values. “Your real journey has just begun and your country is waiting for your return and services. Our leaders are waiting for you to come home and help in developing your beloved country and to apply what you have learned here. I wish you the best.” Prince Muhammad also thanked all academic staff in the universities in the United Kingdom and Ireland for educating Saudi students and teaching them in different fields of specialization. Dr. Ghazi Abdul Wahid Al-Makki, the Saudi Cultural Attache in London, in a speech on the occasion said: “Over 100,000 Saudi students have been sent on King Abdullah scholarships all over the world. This shows the Kingdom's strategic vision and responsibility in its efforts to achieve development and progress.” Dr. Al-Makki reminded students of their obligations and responsibilities and the hopes pinned on them when they return to the Kingdom. “I'm sure you will fulfill your responsibilities and duties towards your country,” he said.
