Under the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland, Minister of Higher Education Dr Khalid al-Anqari will inaugurate on April 5, 2009, the new building for the Office of the Cultural Attaché in London. Speaking on the occasion, Saudi Cultural Attaché in the UK and Ireland Dr Ghazi Al-Makki said the office of the Cultural Attaché is planning to enhance its contacts with the educational institutions in Britain. He noted that the number of students on scholarships has exceeded 12, 000 while the number of their dependents exceeded 23, 000. Dr Al-Makki lauded the generous gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz pertaining to increasing bursaries of the students by 50 percent, and said this development would have a positive impact on the students and would ease sufferings caused by the hike of prices in Britain.
