Dr. Sami Badawood, director general of Jeddah Health Affairs, has called on all individuals and classes of society to support orphans, according to Islamic cooperation principles, and as per the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of the International Orphans Day, which was organized recently by the Social Service Department and Health Affairs Management, Jeddah. The event was held as per instructions of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah region and the Chairman of the Orphan Sponsorship Board, which supervises the health and educational care of orphans. Badawood called on all hospitals and health centers to provide healthcare to orphans instructing them to activate the medical files of orphans at all heath centers in Jeddah. The event included entertainment programs as well as training workshops and scientific lectures organized by the Social Services Department in coordination with the public and private sectors. The event, which has drawn support from various sectors to support orphans, was sponsored by Sna Adonia establishment, represented by Sanaa Bin Mohammed. Mohammed Al-Qazly from the Social Services Department at General Health Affairs with coordination from the Ministry of Social Affairs, oversaw the follow-up at all charity organizations in the city of Jeddah. __
