A new dental center will be set up in the city by year-end, Dr. Sami Badawood, Director of Health Affairs Management, announced here on Saturday. Opening a new mobile dental clinic in Roshan Mall here, Dr. Badawood said the new dental center will come up at Jeddah city center near old airport area. Hyper Panda in cooperation with Ministry of Health and Jeddah Health Affairs Management has organized a number of awareness campaigns regarding dental health in different areas of the city. Badawood opened the event with the participation of several doctors, dental experts, and Hyper Panda representatives. The new center will have 40 dental clinics, Badawood said. Stressing on the necessity to have awareness campaigns, Dr. Badawood said Health Affairs Management was encouraged to cooperate with the private sector in increasing the mobile clinic numbers in the malls, and other entertainment locations. “During summer vacation we receive a huge number of visitors from different areas in the Kingdom. As such we have already established temporary mobile clinics in malls and shopping centers,” Badawood added. “Now we are interested in increasing the number of mobile clinics in the malls due to an increase in the number of visitors during Jeddah Ghair Festival,” he said. Several businessmen participated in the event to show their ability to support government-sponsored programs that serve the society. “The cooperation between the private and government sectors will play an important role in increasing the number of awareness campaigns, exhibitions, and events,” said Rami Abdulwahab, Executive Manager of Hyper Panda.
