Saudi and international security specialists will address the pressing issues involved in assessing security measures in Saudi Arabia's cities and industrial zones at the Second Saudi Safety and Security Conference which opens here Sunday, at the Dhahran International Exhibition Center. Speakers will focus their risk assessment on recent local, regional, environmental, geopolitical and economic changes. They will provide guidelines and insights for communities, industrial organizations, and security agencies in integrating and coordinating their available resources in cases of accident, attack, and emergencies. Security specialists in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, and transports, energy, water, and health fields will speak on their respective areas of specialization during the three-day conference. Among the speakers are safety and security specialists from the Saudi Aramco and Kuwait Oil Company, SABIC-affiliated companies, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON), foreign industrial security consultancy companies, and Saudi security agencies. They will review the latest technologies and improvements in the security field, and how to improve physical industrial infrastructure security. One important session will be held on emerging security regulations in the Kingdom and the new security threats facing communities, business and industry. A trade exhibition of products and services, as well as the latest safety and security technologies, will also be held. Some 100 local, regional, and international companies are participating in the exhibition. In addition to the conference and exhibition, a two-day training course designed to help industry professionals improve and develop their safety and security understanding and strategy will be conducted, The conference and exhibition is being held in collaboration with the Directorate of Civil Defense in the Eastern Province and under the patronage of Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province. __
