Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Minerals for Petroleum Affairs will inaugurate the 2nd bi-annual Saudi Oil, Gas and Petrochem 2010 (SOGAP), today (Sunday) at Riyadh International Exhibition Center. According to Riyadh Exhibition Company Ltd. (REC), the organizer of the event, about 70 oil and gas companies both national and international will participate in the four-day expo. Conferences and workshops will also be organized on the sidelines of the event. The event will be a platform for professionals, experts and industry specialists from oil and gas industry offering opportunity to discuss and gather information on the latest innovative technology in the field. International companies from countries such as China, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Iran and will have their presence through their country booths. The exhibition will include companies in areas such as oil, gas and petrochemical, mining, exploration, production and refining, drilling, valves, pipes and fittings, services, maintenance, safety and security, storage and transportation. The national and regional exhibitors include Ministry of Petroleum, Aramco, Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), Gasco, Tasnee, Petrorabigh, Arabian Pipes, South Rub' Al-Khali Company (SRAK), United Steel Grating, Abu-Dhabi National Energy Company Taqa and over 50 other leading companies will participate. The event will offer tremendous opportunity to the companies to market their strategy and present prospects of sales and marketing. Representatives from over 30 countries will showcase products and services. A gallery will show the Saudi history of oil and gas since 1948.
