Mohammad Harasani Architects (MHA) beat ABCC (Aziziah Boys Cricket Club) by 11 runs in a pulsating final to claim the SIPCO Cup, sponsored by Saudi Industrial Products Company (Pepsi) and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association. MHA, batting first, scored 172 all out in 20 overs. Shad led the way with an elegant knock of 89 runs (6 fours and 7 sixes). He was given good support by Sami (24) and Atta (16). Umar (4-21), Abdul Rehman (2-29) and Haroon (2-2) were among the wickets for ABCC. ABCC started well and was well on course as Haroon (45), Ali (39), Faris (30), Syed Wasay (22) chipping in with useful contributions. However, Sami (2-32) along with Zakir, Shad Ismail (one wicket each) bowled a tight length to restrict ABCC to 161 all out. In the race for the 3rd spot Deccan Knights defeated Hyderabad Green by 24 runs. Batting first Deccan Knights scored 171 with Inayath (85), Sohail (12), Hyder (15) scoring bulk of the runs while Khalid (2-24), Rafiq (2-14) bowled well. In reply Hyderabad Green was restricted to 147-6 with Hyder (2-24), Sohail (2-39) Rabbani (2-17) claiming the wickets. Only Salamat (29), Shakeel (23), Rayees (18) and Anwar (17) managed to get going but in the end fell short of the target by 24 runs. The consolation cup was won by Saliheen, which beat KAIA. Batting first KAIA put on 186 runs with Bilal scoring a fluent 86, whereas Sufyan (2-21), Rizwan (2-15), (Irfan 2-33) and Imran (2-27) bowled well. In reply Saliheen reached the target of 187 comfortably with Babar scoring an unbeaten 75 and Qasim giving him good support with 50. Shiraz, Aijaz and Bilal claimed a wicket each.
