Fakhar, Ashfaque crack centuries

A fine century by Ashfaque of Hyderabad Green-XI went in vain as his team lost the match to KAIA by just 3 runs, Fakhar's quickfire 117 off just 37 balls lifted Pak Young over Al-Khulais-XI and Deccan Knight tasted a win after long time by beating Jeddah Challengers by 37 runs in the 8th week matches of Division-II League which is sponsored by Sipco (Saudi Industrial Projects Company) and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Organization (JCA).
KAIA, batting first, scored 223-4 against Hyderabad Green-XI, with the bulk of runs coming from dashing opener Ejaz (80 in 28 balls).
Others who made runs were Majid (56 n.o.), Bilal (46) and Shiraz (18). Khalid claimed 3 wickets while Ashfaque took one.
In reply the Hyderabad Green-XI reached 220-5. Ashfaque made a brilliant century (110), followed by Junaid 43, Jaffar 24 and Anwar Ahmed Khan 10.
Pak Young slammed an imposing total of 219-6 against Al Khulais-XI. Fakhar hit a quic fire 117 off 37 balls.
The other main scorers were, Fazal Khatak 25, Ihsan 18, Munawar 17 and Assad 13. Shahid took two wickets while Zahid got one.
Al Khulais-XI replied with 208-8. Basharath hit the highest (55) while Akmal 51, Aslam 25, Abdul Rauf 25 and Arshad 8 made a good chase. Munawar took 4-43, Fazal 2-37, Amanullah 2-34 and Riaz Afridi 1-30. Wicketkeeper Ihsan had four victims behind the stumps.
Deccan Knights tallied 190-6 against Jeddah Challengers through Najeeb 55, skipper Inayath 41 not out, Javed 38, Sohail 26 and Hyder 12. Fawaz grabbed 3 wickets, while Abubakar, Zeeshan and Farhad got one each.
Jeddah Challengers replied with 153-9 and lost the match by 37 runs. Abubakar made 30, Zeeshan 22, wicketkeeper batsman Rizwan 27, Mudassir 21, Fawaz 8, Abid 7 and Fahad 6. Hyder and Sohail took 3 wickets each for the Deccan Knights Cricketers.
