Imran hands Reel & Rom big win in Jotun Cup

JEDDAH: Imran Khan hit an unbeaten knock of 105 runs and had figures of 3-39 with the ball to hand Reel & Rom a 27-run win over Al Ghudaid-XI in the 8th week matches of Division-II which is sponsored by Jotun Paints Saudi Arabia and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association here.
In other matches Deccan Knights beat Hyderabad Green by 21 runs, while Saliheen-XI beat Pak Young by 5 wickets.
In the first match Reel & Rom batting first scored 216-1 in 18 overs against Al Ghudaid-XI. Imran was the hero of the match hitting an unbeaten knock of 105 runs off 40 balls. He hit 10 fours and three sixes. Wajid contributed a well-deserved 75 not out off 34 balls for a 210-run partnership with Imran. Farhan took the only wicket to fall, giving away 26 runs for Al Ghudaid.
Al-Ghudaid in reply was bowled out for 189 in 17.5 overs. Farhad made 104 off 51 balls, Saad and Ahmed scored 22 runs each in a losing cause. Imran Khan claimed 3-39, Bilal 1-7, Amir 1-25, Yaqoob 1-30, Jameel Ahmed 1-30 and Muneer 1-36 for Reel & Rom.
In the second match Deccan Knights made 222-7 in 18 overs against Hyderabad Green. Najeeb scored 50 runs, Athar 44, Abu Jabri 27, Anwar Shah 26, Hyder 19 and Sohail Yafai 10 runs. Majid and Abdullah bagged two wickets each for 39 and 47 runs, while Rayeesuddin claimed 1-19, Jaffer 1-19 and Islam 1-45 for Hyderabad Green.
The Hyderabad team could score only 201-4 in 18 overs. Majid remained unbeaten on 79, Khalid scored 55 and Rayeesuddin 16. Hyder picked up 2-37, Sohail Yafai 1-43 and Inayath 1-49 for Deccan Knights.
The third match saw Pak Young bat first against Saliheen-XI. It scored 228-5 in the allotted 18 overs. Bhutto made 79 runs, Hussain 77, Gohar 47 for Pak Young. Abid bagged 3-55, Amjad 1-23 and Irfan 1-42 for Saliheen.
In reply Saliheen was home (230) for the loss of five wickets. Irfan Butt scored 106 off 41 balls, Waheed 40, Amjad 34, Abid 17 and Amjad 11 runs. Jamshaid had figures of 2-49 with the ball, Fazal Ameen 2-56 and Riaz 1
