Snapchat: New Story, New Chapter
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 03 - 06 - 2017

Snapchatters around the world now have a new way to create custom Stories on Snapchat. With custom Stories, Snapchatters can create a Story in collaboration with friends and family -- perfect for a trip, a birthday party, or those new baby Snaps for family members across the country. Make a Story for anything!
Creating a custom Story
Simply tap the "Create Story" (+) icon located in the top right corner of the Stories page to get started.
Name your custom Story!
Invite a specific list of friends to contribute to the Story, or invite Snapchatters by location.
◦ Option 1: Select specific friends who will be able to contribute to and view the Story.
◦ Option 2: Place a geofence and invite all your friends or "friends of friends" on Snapchat who are within that area to contribute to and view the Story. Geofences will be about a block in circumference.
The option to submit Snaps to the Story will appear right underneath the "My Story" cell.
These Stories will appear just like other Stories currently do on the Stories page and will disappear if no one has contributed to the Story in the past 24 hours, or if the creator deletes the Story.
Snapchatters can contribute to an unlimited number of Stories at any time, but can only be a creator for three custom Stories at a time.
Along with this update, Snapchat is bringing more Bitmoji fun to the app! If Snapchatters have linked to and created a Bitmoji in Snapchat, they will now see theirs appear inside their Snapcode. Want to change your Bitmojis expression throughout the app? No problem: simply "change your mood" when editing your Bitmoji in Settings or from the top-left hand corner.
Note: These feature updates will be available to all Snapchatters on iOS and Android in about a day.
Snap first launched Discover in 2015, as a place for Snapchatters to explore Stories and learn more about the world around them, from an expert editorial perspective. Discover's Publisher Stories complements the personal perspectives that our community shares when talking through photo and video Snaps with their friends, and the community perspectives captured through Our Stories. As of today, Snap has now launched localized Discover content in five languages, including English, French, German and Norwegian.
Snapchat recently announced seven new Discover partners for Snapchatters in the Middle East, publishing in Arabic: Al Arabiya, Al Jazeera, Layalina.com, MBC, Sayidaty, Sky News Arabia, and Zahrat Al Khaleej.
