Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The most important day for students is when they get the result of their hard work and learning throughout the year. The goosebumps, the butterflies' effect, cold feet, anxiety and every other feeling turns into sheer joy for those who score well and are rewarded. The Annual Result Day of Pakistan International School, Jeddah (Aziziah) senior girls wing was held to honor and recognize the efforts of the student. It was a formal program to celebrate this special event of the year. The function started with the recitation and translation of verses from the Holy Qur'an, followed by a heartwarming Naat – poetry in the praise of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The host of the day Noreen Riaz warmly welcomed the honorable vice principal, the exam committee and the mothers of the position holders. The moment everyone was waiting for came when the Deputy Controller of Examinations Anila Junaid started calling the names of students with distinction from Grade 6-8. They were presented with a certificate and a gift as token of appreciation along with their result cards by the vice principal and the controller of examinations on the stage. "It is a day to share and rejoice, as the lucky position holders are honored and appreciated," Munira Masood, the controller of examinations, said while expressing her delight. She added, "Our students possess limitless talent and admirable potential." Presenting the report of the School Result from G6- 8, she stated that the total number of students appearing in the examination were 1,339, out of which 1,189 passed, 150 failed and the pass percentage was 89%. The Vice Principal Farhat Naeem congratulated the students, the teachers and mothers for their untiring efforts, devotion and hard work. She greatly appreciated the extraordinary commitment and dedication of the Examinations Committee, the Discipline Committee and the commendable efforts of school's highly qualified faculty members. She expressed her gratitude to the esteemed Principal Muhammad Bilal for his kind support and full cooperation. The well-organized event successfully ended with jubilant faces, renewed spirits, motivation along with the high cheer and the national anthem "May you prosper, O Pure Land!". In addition, it marked the beginning of the new academic year filled with opportunities and lots of learning.
