Egypt Air celebrates 85 years of success

JEDDAH — EGYPTAIR, the national carrier of Egypt, marked another milestone as it celebrates its 85th anniversary.
Egyptair here in Jeddah marked the occasion by hosting a special ceremony on Saturday at Inter-continental hotel, for their Saudi partners, top agents and their staff from all over the Kingdom.
To commemorate the occasion, the general manager of Egyptair Osama Taha said in his speech "It is a tremendous milestone that reaffirms our commitment to the industry and our valued customers here in Saudi Arabia."
He said "over the past 85 years, we've made significant investments in innovative products and solutions that empower the travel industry to grow and better serve travelers. Our expansion across the world is built on having a strong customer-first culture and a genuine passion for helping our customers grow, innovate and succeed."
He added "we are proud to celebrate Egyptair's 85th anniversary with our loyal partners here in Saudi Arabia and we appreciate their long efforts in making our business in Saudi Arabia a success."
From his side, Midhat Al Jazzar, regional manager of Egyptair in Jeddah pointed out that throughout the past 85 years of operations, and in support of its network expansion, Egyptair has been continuously developing its fleet with modern passenger and cargo aircraft. He later highlighted the history of Egypt Air in a short film.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, an award dinner held for the travel agents.
The celebration night was attended by Egyptian consul general in Jeddah Hazem Ramadan, top management of Saudi Airlines and Saudi Ground Services, representatives of top travel agencies in Saudi Arabia and EgyptAir staff from Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam.
Egyptair was founded in May 1932. Eighty-five years later it is still going strong, flying to 75 destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
