The municipality demolished 15 illegally constructed houses in Makkah on Sunday. Al-Shawqiyah Municipality head Mamdouh Iraqi said the demolition was part of a municipality campaign against structures built without proper licenses and proper procedures were followed in carrying out the razing operations. "The municipality first issued warning to owners of the violating buildings and after the deadline was over, the demolition was carried out," he said. The municipality also sought police cooperation in its campaign," Iraqi said.
