Lothers to face Waqas Malik in final

JEDDAH — Crown Steel after losing the Qualifier 1 match against Zultec came across the winner of the Eliminator 1 AOT in the Qualifier 2 to lose by 8 wickets to be out of the race. AOT will now play against Zultec in the final of the Premier T20 provided they are cleared by the technical committee.
AOT trounced Crown Steel by 8 wickets. Crown Steel put into bat was bowled out for 124. Khurram Karamat hit 22, Javed Iqbal 26, Imran Azam 25 and Ijaz Sagheer 11. Rafeeq took 4-17, Qaiser Lateef 3-19, Moiz 2-39 and Rameez 1-19.
AOT while chasing faced 69 balls to get to 125-2 and qualify for the final. Faisal Mehmood stroked 49 in 28 balls with 9 fours as he added 84 for the opening stand with Aqeel (36). Gulam Mustafa remained unbeaten on 22 and Maqsood unbeaten on 8. Yasir took 1-14 and Ijaz Sagheer 1-39.
The match was supervised by Waseeq Sherwani and Shareefuddin.
Afternoon T20 semis
In the Afternoon semifinals Lothers downed UCC and Waqas Malik CC crushed Alhamrani Fuchs to set the stage for final.
Lothers defeated UCC by 86 runs. Lothers racked up 208-5. Moazzam Shoukat blasted 85 in 45 balls with 5 sixes and 7 fours as he added 120 in 68 balls for the opening stand with Yasar (43). Shamsuddin compiled 45 and Abdulwaheed 19. Ahmed Faraz took 3-43 and Yasar Ameen 1-37.
UCC, in reply, was restricted to 122-9. Ahmed Faraz hit 51 in 32 balls with 4 fours and a six, Khalil 16, Sarafaraz 13, Wajid 11 and Amir Mughal 13. Moazzam Shoukat grabbed 2-7, Abdulwaheed 2-14, Yasar 1-6, Shibu 1-13, Pradeep 1-16 and Iftikhar 1-38. Moazzam Shoukat was adjudged the Man of the Match.
The match was supervised by Kahsif Mirza and Hasnain Ali.
Waqas Malik thrashed Alhamrani Fuchs by 9 wickets. Alhamrani Fuchs put into bat was bundled out for just 63. Ghafour Shah with 19 and Imran with 11 were the only batsmen to have touched the ten-digit mark. Danish sliced through the batting lineup with 4 for 6 in his 3.2 overs, Fayaz claimed 2-15, Razzaq 1-3, Rana Haroon 1-4, Zahoor 1-6 and Waqas 1-29.
Waqas Malik CC, in response, was home and with that a place in the final by reaching 64-1 in 30 balls. Skipper Waqas Malik hit 35 and Hafiz Adeel made 25. They produced a match-winning 63 in 29 balls for the first wicket. Irfan took 1-11. Danish was named the Man of the match.
