In cooperation with Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI), the Fujiatlas World Exchange Center organized the Japan Miracle Forum at the JCCI building here on Monday night. The forum emphasized on Japan's post-World War economic and industrial development, government's role and contribution from the private sector. Businessmen, diplomats, government officials, senior executives and university students, both male and female, attended the forum. Mazen Batterjee, Vice Chairman of the JCCI, said a number of agreements in the environment field besides other agreements in the cultural, educational, information and technical and vocational training fields are under consideration. Koichi Ibara, the Deputy Consul General of Japan, said, in the field of technical cooperation, about 640 Saudi trainees (male and female) have benefited from 32 training courses organized by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Further, he said the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East extended invitation to 57 Saudi businessmen to participate in its training program in 2007. – SG __
