Abbasi and Khan steal the show

Big-hitting Nasir Abbasi (198 off 72 balls) and Asghar Khan (194 off 79 balls) stole the show in Round 5 matches of the RCA-Western Union Cricket Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Western Union.
In Al-Kharj League, KFSH Riyadh Warriors beat Amer Holidays by 57 runs. KFSH Riyadh Warriors posted a formidable total of 276-4, thanks mainly to a blistering knock of 198 off 72 balls by Nasir Abbasi who put up a record opening partnership of 235 with Ayaz Mohammed who added 53 off 39 balls. Irfan Sarfraz, Saeed and Samiullah took one wicket each. Amer Holidays managed 219-8 in reply. Mudassar made 56, Irfan Mushtaq 50 and Irfan Sarfraz 42. Munawar Shafi took 4 wickets and Mateen Abbasi 2.
Sama Steel defeated Pakistan Falcons by 4 wickets. Pakistan Falcons put on 201-6. Hamza Abbasi top scored with 77 and Asim added 38. Imran and Adnan claimed 2 wickets each. Sama Steel chased the target on the last ball of the 20th over. Ramzan hit 58 and Imran 50. Jadoon picked up 3 wickets.
Lahore Badshah downed Friends CC by 56 runs. Lahore Badshah tallied 168-8 through Adnan (43), Fahad (40) and Awais (38). Siraj took 3 wickets and Irshad 2. Friends CC managed 112. Rustam top scored with 34. Malik Fahad grabbed 5 wickets and Akram 3.
Pak Shaheen prevailed over Lahore Lions by 18 runs. Pak Shaheen posted a huge total of 291-8. Abdul Wahab blasted 78 off 26 balls and Faisal Khan hit 72 off 28 balls. Mohammed Nawaz and Awais claimed 3 wickets each. In reply, Lahore Lions scored 273-9. Mohammed Nawaz smashed 67 off 23 balls and Qamar hit 54 and Mansoor 50. Aziz and Faisal claimed 3 wickets each.
In Diriyah League, L'usine CC beat Riyadh Warriors CSK by 2 wickets. Riyadh Warriors CSK scored 156-8. Abdulrahim made 46 and Shaji 36. Talal Butt picked up 6-20. L'usine CC won the match in 19.2 overs. Talal Butt added 39 and Moazzam 34.
Delhi Dare Devils defeated Riyadh Zalmi by 8 wickets. Riyadh Zalmi tallied 181-8. Rizwan hit 43. Waqar, Amir and Shoaib picked up 2 wickets each. Dare Devils won the match in 14.5 overs. Shahbaz scored an unbeaten 74 and Ramzan 64. Kashif and Adnan took 1 wicket each.
Karachi Kings thrashed TCS CC by 115 runs. Kings posted a mammoth total of 281-3. Asghar Khan played brilliantly and belted 194 off 79 balls. TCS, in reply, scored 166-9. Prashant made 63 and Aman 36. Farooq grabbed 3 wickets.
Phoenix CC downed Smashers CC by 10 runs. Phoenix CC put on 221-5. Haseeb Rafeeq scored 63 and Abdul Haseeb 58. Akbar claimed 3 wickets. Smashers CC managed 211-6. Talal hit 60. Ghufran and Antar took 2 wickets each. White Star Green beat Riyadh Rhinos by 56 runs. White Star Green recorded 223-6. Mudassar top scored with 53. Riyadh Rhinos were restricted to 167-9.
Charsadah Kings beat KAMS IndoPak CC by 84 runs. Charsadah Kings scored 187-8. Sajjad hit 82. Wajahat picked up 4 wickets and Kamil 2. KAMS IndoPak managed 103. Wajahat made 40. Mohsin claimed 6 wickets.
The match between Professionals Creation CC and Smart Irtikaz CC ended in a tie with both teams scoring 163. Professionals Creation, batting first, was all out for 163. Guhan and Fenil added 44 each. Amir and Faisal bagged 3 wickets each. Smart Irtikaz CC scored 163-9 in reply. Inam made 32 and Tariq 30. Fenil picked up 4 wickets and Sharafu 3. — SG
