JEDDAH – Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motor, the exclusive importer of BMW Group in Saudi Arabia, launched the new sixth generation BMW 3 Series at the BMW showroom in Jeddah Automall Wednesday. Having sold 12.5 million cars since the first 3 Series was launched in 1975, the BMW 3 Series continues to be BMW Group's best-selling model series;- consistently accounting for more than a quarter of the company's global sales. In 2010, every third BMW sold was a 3 Series and its success over the past 37 years has made it the world's best-selling premium car. The interior of the new BMW 3 Series showed noticeable increase in space means significant benefit for the rear passengers. Drive and chassis technology have always been key areas of expertise for the brand, and this is reinforced by the agility and driving dynamics of the new 3 series. A choice of three powerful engines is available: the 335i 6-cylinder, the 328i and the 320i 4-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The twinpower turbo technology is available on all three engines options in the new BMW 3 Series. BMW is the first carmaker to offer an eight-speed automatic gearbox in the premium mid-size segment, offering more EfficientDynamics technology which makes the new 3 Series more economical and lower in pollutant emissions compared to the predecessor model.
