Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, the exclusive importer of BMW Group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, continued its remarkable sales performance recording a 24 percent increase in new car sales between January and June 2009 compared to the same period in 2008. The positive sales growth equates to 1,241 new vehicles, placing Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors among the top three performing importers for BMW Group in the Middle East . The standout model for the importer was the BMW 7 Series with 617 new vehicles sold. BMW's flagship model remains a major contributor to the brand's growth and success in the Kingdom, with the recent arrival of the fifth generation 740Li and 750Li offering the latest in automotive luxury, innovation and technology. The BMW 5 Series and BMW X5 also performed well with 180 and 158 new vehicles sold respectively. Sales of BMW Premium Selection, the industry leading used car program, also witnessed significant growth of 158 percent with the importer selling 245 used cars between January and June 2009. The BMW Premium Selection program is reserved exclusively for used BMW vehicles that meet strict criteria. Vehicles need to be less than five years old, have a mileage under 100,000 km and have been serviced by authorized BMW importers to qualify for the program. Anees Jamjoom, managing director of Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, said: “The first six months of the year witnessed strong sales growth, both for new and used vehicles. This is a special achievement considering the economic climate; one which can be attributed to the highly attractive BMW product range and our unparalleled commitment to provide premium products and services to our customers in Saudi Arabia.” Jamjoom added: “We are confident of continuing to deliver high levels of performance as well during the second half of the year.”
