JEDDAH — Al-Majal School celebrated Eid Al-Adha with zest on Wednesday, Nov. 7. Kulsum Shafi, a teacher of KG3, said the children were ecstatic on that day, and the delighted staff members were eager to make the celebration a huge success. Students were asked to come to school dressed in their favorite Eid dresses and what a site it was to see the tiny tots trotting showing off their outfits gleefully to their friends. The celebrations began with a special prayer during the assembly. The students were previously taught the rituals of Haj, and now the teachers explained the importance of Eid Al-Adha. Later, the children treated themselves to home-made goodies and some even brought finely decorated delectable cakes. To make the celebration a memorable one, teachers gave students gifts. A laminated card with the words “You are my EID mom” was given with chocolates for mothers. Children were also delighted to play plethora of games with their teachers, after which Shafi with other staff members painted the children's faces with cute designs.
