Batsmen dominate in DOPCO Challengers Premier Cup

Crown Steel thrashed Mazco XI by huge 221 runs, Al-Saudi XI downed Usman Gems by 4 wickets and My Care Hala snatched victory from Zultec by 5 wickets in the 40 overs DOPCO Challengers Premier Cup.
United CC, Arif Gymkhana and Desert Lions won their respective Afternoon matches.
Batting first, Zultec was all out for 218 in 40 overs. Javed Iqbal scored 88 in 62 balls, Jawwad 36 and Emad 21. Yasser scalped 3-31, Waqas Ausaf 2-46 while Faheem, Umar and Mohammed took one wicket each.
In reply, My Care Hala lost early wickets but Waqas hit 25 as later skipper Azeem stroked an unbeaten 75. He first added 67 runs with Qazzafi (56) and then contributed an unbeaten 74 for the sixth wicket with Faheem Afrad (22 not out) to get to 220-5 with 9 balls to spare. Anis Malik took 2-30 as Javed Iqbal, Emad and Jawwad Sagheer claimed one wicket each.
Usman Gems, batting first, was restricted to 214 all out in 40 overs. Majed Mohammed hammered 86 and Imran choudhry 52.
Al-Saudi XI chasing this moderate target was home making 216-6 in 182 balls. Afzal hammered 86 in 66 balls. He was well supported by Mazher who hit 58.
Together they added 98 runs for the second wicket while Abbas scored 21 not out. Imran Choudhry grabbed 3-16 whereas Kashan, Hashim Khan and Moazzam shared one wicket each.
Crown Steel plundered a mammoth total of 409 in 40 overs mainly through Shoaib Ali who missed his ton by 9 runs to be out for 91 off 55 balls.
He added 133 for the fifth wicket with Fahad (69 in 39 balls). Earlier Shafeeq who stroked 61 in 39 balls added 112 for the opening partnership with Babar who compiled 57. Hussain Anwer Bhatti smashed a quickfire 46 in 23 balls and Abid contributed 39. Tabassum took 2-58, Rashid 2-59 and Aamir 2-61.
Mazco XI chasing this huge target was bowled out for 188 as Shoaib Ali recorded 4-37 runs and Abu Huraira claiamed 2-38. Zaheer, Fahad and Ijaz accounted for one wicket each with only Rashid Malik resisting with a magnificent 76 and Atif making 29.
Afternoon League results:
Elaf Advance 137-4 in 18 overs (Siddique 59, Usman Gulab 35, Rana Shahzad took 3-28). United CC 138-4 (Shahnawaz 62 off 39 balls, Junaid 29, Majed 2-20).
Zultrack 143 (Khadim 58, Chand 29, Adnan 21, Zafar 3-14, Mohammed 2-30, Ajlan and Iman 2-32 each). Arif Gymkhana 144-5 (Shoaib 40, Malik Aijaz 21, Naved 2-28, Rashid 2-23).
GGI 157 (Pervaiz 50, Tariq 50, Israr 2-25). Desert Lions 159-3 (Rumesh 57, Mifraz 36, Adnan 2-24).
