RIYADH — Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, Governor of Riyadh, graced the grand reception by the Pakistani Charge D' Affaires Hassan Wazir at his residence on the occasion of Pakistan Day. The Riyadh Governor was the chief guest. Prince Faisal was warmly received upon his arrival by the Wazir and senior embassy officials. The reception was attended by the diplomatic community, Pakistani Embassy officials, representatives of Pakistani armed forces and prominent Pakistani community members. The national anthem of both of the countries were played and special cake was jointly cut on the occasion by Prince Faisal and Charge D' Affaires Wazir. Head of Chancery Sardar Muhammad Khattak conducted the ceremony. Prince Faisal congratulated the Pakistanis on their National Day, and Wazir thanked the honorable chief guest for gracing the occasion. He also thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for his continuous support of Pakistani community. Senior Pakistani Embassy officials welcomed the distinguished guests. The venue was beautifully decorated with colorful balloons, flowers and Pakistani flags. A group of young students from Pakistan International School Riyadh (PISR) were also present on the occasion in regional Pakistani dresses and performed on regional national songs. The guests enjoyed the pleasant reception and they were gifted with souvenirs by the Pakistan Embassy staff. The sumptuous dinner that followed, included a variety of Pakistani, Arabic and Continental dishes.
