Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal holds talks with Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google, in New York. JEDDAH – Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), was on a trip to US, conducting business meetings with CEOs and chairmen of prominent international companies in which KHC is a major investor in most of them. He was accompanied by a delegation from KHC. Alwaleed held meetings with Isadore Sharp, founder and chairman of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts; Kathy Taylor, President and CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts; William Fatt, CEO of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts; Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google; Andy Lack, CEO, Bloomberg; Steve Sadov, Chairman and CEO, Saks Inc. and; Sandy Weill, former chairman of Citigroup. Kingdom Holding Company holds a 47.5 percent stake in the Four Seasons which is co-owned by Bill Gates' Cascade with a 47.5 percent stake, and 5 percent is owned by Isadore Sharp. Alwaleed also discussed the current status of the global economy in his meetings. He also held talks with William Fatt, Fairmont's CEO, to discuss the latest developments at the hotel. In 2006 Kingdom and Colony completed a $5.5 billion acquisition of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts which was combined with the Raffles Hotels Group.
