The Consulate General of Malaysia bowling team had a field day in the ACGC Bowling Tournament 2012 winning three individual's titles and emerging the overall team champion of the tournament held on Thursday, 9 February 2012 at Bowling City, Tahlia. The bowling tournament organized by the Consulate General of the Philippines saw the participation of 10 out of 13 ACGC member countries i.e. Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Singapore. The teams participated for team event category consisting of a mix team of 4 men and 2 women and for both men's and women's individuals including a special category event for Consul Generals and Spouses. After superb and power bowling for more than three hours, Malaysian Consulate clinched the team event title by accumulating 2,398 pins with Philippines at the second spot, followed by Indonesia at the third spot. The Malaysians also emerged Champions for the Consul General and Madame individual category. To make it a complete Malaysian victory, they also clinched the Men Individual Champion and Second Runners-up for Women event. Indonesia was the Women Individual Champion. An award presentation ceremony was held where the Consul General of the Philippines recorded his thanks and appreciation to all his ACGC colleagues and families who had participated in the true spirit of sportsmanship and made the event a thrilling and memorable one. ACGC which comprises 13 member countries is an informal group that has been created to promote closer cooperation, understanding and relations among themselves by organizing informal gatherings and sports event in Jeddah. The ACGC Consuls General took turns to present the prizes to the winners in a colorful yet simple ceremony. __
