In order to broaden and expand the Saudi Indian Business Network's (SIBN) trade and investment activities, several committees will be set up related to infrastructure, construction, IT, industry, manufacturing, education, health, and investment. Indian Consul General Faiz Ahmed Kidwai made the announcement at the second meeting of the executive committee of the SIBN at the Wisaal Development Center here on Feb. 5. SIBN is a body comprised of Saudi and Indian businessmen and senior executives under the patronage of the Consulate General of India. During the meeting, heads of the sectorial committees were named, and it was agreed that each committee shall be jointly headed by one Saudi and one Indian member. Kidwai and SIBN President Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr also released the SIBN brochure, which will introduce the group to both countries' business communities. Dr. Binzagr plans to lead a Saudi business delegation to India in future to meet leading business families there, and to visit business houses and industries in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore in order to develop strong business relationships. SIBN Vice President Dr. Asar Khan said the organization has made significant achievements in a very short span of time and thanked the Consul General's strong support toward this end. SIBN General Secretary Mohammad Sayeeduddin detailed SIBN's progress to date, highlighting the Confederation of Indian Industry delegation's successful visit to the Kingdom in December 2011. Kidwai lauded the SIBN's achievements and assured the group of his support for its future endeavors. He has already agreed to allocate staff for SIBN operations and an exclusive office at the consulate's new premises.
