Saudi Indian Business Network (SIBN) hosted a reception in honor of a visiting delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) at Hotel Trident Monday. A large number of Indian and Saudi businessmen attended the function. Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, the Indian Consul General, said: “I see great potential for investment by Indian companies in Saudi Arabia.” He further said: “I have noticed that there is a lot of interest among Saudi nationals in Indian products and investment opportunities in India.” He suggested that CII and other Indian business organizations, such as ASSOCHAM and FICCI should send larger delegations to Saudi Arabia, because of its potential and the development taking place in the Kingdom. K.K.M. Kutty, Co-Chairman of CII Gulf Committee and CEO of South West Group of Companies, thanked SIBN for hosting the reception in honor of his delegation. He said India in general and CII in particular has a lot of potential to offer to Saudi Arabia and the entire Gulf region. CII, a conglomerate representing more than 8,000 Indian industries, is interested in offering a variety of industrial ventures to Saudi Arabia, he added. Mohammad Sayeeduddin, General Secretary of the SIBN, described his organization as an interface between India and Saudi Arabia. Its main objective, he said, is to act as a business catalyst for bilateral investment.
