JEDDAH — Tarek A. Mishkhas, editor-in-chief of Urdu News, has urged both Pakistan and India to work to find the best solution to resolve the Kashmir conflict in order to provide lasting peace and stability in South Asia. Mishkhas, who was the chief guest in the function organized by Pakistan National Solidarity Forum (PNSF) to observe 27th Kashmir Solidarity Day, made this observation in his address at the at Salt N Paper restaurant recently. Mishkhas further urged both the countries — India and Pakistan — to work hard and pave the way for prosperity of the people in the subcontinent and achieve peace in the wider interest of the region. He praised efforts of Syed Riaz Hussain Bukhari, convener PNSF, to establish the solidarity forum and unite workers of all political and religious parties, literary, social and welfare forums from the Pakistani community in the western region in one platform. "He simply did a patriotic duty and a noble work," Mishkhas added. Malik Abid Awan, president youth wing Pakistan Muslim Leagues (Nawaz) Makkah region presided over the function. Arshad Munir, consular (press) at consulate general PakistanJeddah and Sardar Mohammed Iqbal Yousuf, president Jammu and Kashmir community overseas, were seated on the stage as guests of honor. Majid Awan, consular (Passport) consul at Consulate General of Pakistan, Adnan Nasir, principal PISJ-ES, Mohammed Bilal, principal PISJ Azizia, Furrukh Rasheed (PTI), Mohammed Zulfiqar (JI), Ch. Mohammed Riaz Ghumman (PML-Q), Ch. Tasawar Hussain (PPP), JUI, ANP, PSP, Syed Ehsan ul Haque (PRC), Ather Abassi (Urdu Markaz), Ashfaq Badayouni (Halqa Danish), Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman (PWS), ENiaz Ahmed (PWF), Asad Akram (PJF), Riaz Bajwa (PNC), Ch. Rizwan (PMG) and large number from Pakistani community attended the function. Bukhari conducted the function and welcomed all guests. He also thanked guests and members who attended the event to mark Kashmir Solidarity day with traditional enthusiasm. Speakers Khalil Ahmed, Fazal Waraich, Mohiuddin Zahid, Ahmed Bashir, Khalid Gujjar, Riaz Ghumman, Sardar Iqbal Yousuf and Abid Awan renewed their pledge to support the ongoing movement for the right to self-determination of people in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK). Earlier, the function started with recitation and translation of few verses from Holy Qur'an by Qari Mohammed Asif. Naat was rendered by Sher Afzal and national anthems of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were sung. Poet Zamurrad Saifi and Qari Sultan presented poems on Kashmir, while students Ali Raza and Ahmed Zubair sung the Pakistan-administered Kashmir's anthem. At the end participants joined hands to expressed their solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren. Qari Irshad made supplications for the whole Muslim Ummah.
