Incredible, amazing, extraordinary and fun – words that can only sum up the Winter Day 2011-12. The morning of Dec. 14 dawned upon Taqwa International School, Riyadh to witness the Kindergarten Section celebrate the Winter Day. Decked up in warm winter attires, the tiny tots learnt the season's dress code in a fun way.
In the classes, the students undertook an interesting Design-Your-Woolen-Cap activity. Prior to an Awards Assembly, a treat awaited for the little stars. Each student received a cup of warm hot chocolate drink with whip cream from their teachers. The most-striking part of The Winter Day was the creation of a winter wall collage by the students. And so, two little hands of every KG student worked together to create a classic, winter day panoramic view. Towards the end, watching them ‘WOW' at their very own creation and hardwork was a sight to cherish!Principal Dr S.M Anvar said, “I have never witnessed a Winter Day Celebration like this anywhere else. The students really enjoyed creating the wall collage.”Spectacular science exhibitionThe science fair held by Talal International School under the title ‘TIS Vision 2012' at the school premises in Bagdadiyah, Jeddah on Jan. 26 was truly spectacular. The fair was held with the primary objective of instilling a high level of self-confidence in creating scientific creative models.
The fair was opened to parents' community by the school's Chairman, Dr. Ba Hafzuallah. The Directors of the school, Manzoor Feroke, Abdul Razak Karinkallayi and Rafi Chaliyam lauded the commitment and efforts of the teachers, students and administrative and non-administrative staff who tirelessly worked hard for days together to present the exciting show.
The fair drew a mammoth crowd of parents and science enthusiasts. The various items displayed on the ground reflected a harmonious blend of the past with the present. The show literally transported the viewers to a different realm of knowledge and information, excitement, ecstasy and entertainment.
As the management put it, the success of ‘TIS Vision 2012' was the result of the teachers and students' hard work and commitment coupled with co-operation and support from the ancillary staff of the school. __
