Khobar conveys warm greetings to the Indian community across the globe on the momentous occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Indian Republic Day. May the spirit of the glorious past and the pride of unbeaten present unfold a rewarding future for the magnificent and majestic nation! The patrons of the prestigious institute of the Eastern Province offer earnest gratitude to the government of KSA for encouraging them to transform their vision into reality.
A seasoned visionary suffused with the fervor of internationalism, a perceptive entrepreneur with a substantial bent over philanthropy and education, Dr. Nadeem Akhtar Tarin synthesized his notions with the renowned and futuristic educationist of the Kingdom Dr. Ibrahim Al Quayid, to establish a state-of-the-art institution catering to the educational needs of a huge body of expatriates in the region. The intellectual and farsighted duo stepped into the realm of education to establish Dunes International School under the aegis of Bait Al-Salah International Company. The Director Sultan Salman Al-Terais Sadey states assertively that the edifying organization has been living up to its primary objectives of academic excellence, the spirit of innovation and the zeal to impart value-based education to produce independent global citizens.
The prominent school known for its outstanding academic achievements and commendable inclusion of extracurricular activities in the curricula organized the 6th Annual Sports Day recently. The correspondent managed to interact with the core squad who has contributed in their unique way in carving the unprecedented repute for the institution. The architect of the well-thought-out success plan for Dunes, the Director Amjad Khan mentions with much complacency, "In its 6th year, the institution has grown from strength to strength to mark an echelon of enviable reputation in the educational fraternity in the Eastern Province. At DIS, there is self–discovery through achievement, self-understanding and appreciation." The young and dynamic DGM Saad Tarin emphasizes, "The holistic development in the congenial and caring environs of the campus, bring each innocent heart closer in a melodious song of universality." Dr. Saleem ur Rehman, director academics who has determined the direction for the teaching and learning process at Dunes, is glad to state, "Academic excellence is a must-do on the priority list, while school encompasses the core with a strong value system that shall sustain these youngsters in the journey of their lives". The Director Awad Al Qahtani comments with zeal, "Strengthening their foundations with the bulwark of international culture and traditions students are taught to embrace progressive changes with an open, yet, discerning mind." Dharminder Manon, principal for Indian curriculum, feels proud to reveal, "Armed with the core values of truth, integrity and compassion, the Dunitians shall explore the zeniths of creativity, through their dreams to fulfill them with patience, perseverance and principle."
Equipped with the most recent learning and sports facilities, led from the front by a team of committed professionals, there is a resonating chord of joie-de-vivre in the community at DIS as they work from term to term and spend time with each other, all lifelong learners. Mohammed Aamir Khan, principal for British curriculum, speaks jovially, "DUNES endeavors to provide the finest education encompassed within state-of-the-art infrastructure. Artistic and academic pursuits are encouraged equally and students have ready exposure to global heritage and cultures." The Headmistress Ms. Sumaiyya Tasneem expresses, "The school's curriculum lays emphasis on concepts and skills, rather than on textbooks." Ms. Shahela Junaidi, the academic coordinator, comments, "Dunitian gain a clear sense of direction paved by their analytical approach, critical thinking skills and creative sagacity. Effective interpersonal and collaborative communication shapes these global citizens and leaders." The Headmistress KG section, Ms. Shameem Saleem remarks, "School aims at ensuring that each child reaches their personal potential, whether it is intellectual, sporting, entrepreneurial, creative or academic."
Located at old airport road, easily accessible from Dammam, Dhahran and Al Khobar, the school boasts of advanced teaching practices with smart classes, e library, Speak Up and 3G ABACUS program, well equipped libraries and laboratories with a seasoned team of educators. A well-knit transport system, spacious playgrounds and auditorium, well maintained swimming pool, trained coaches for sports and a wide range of facilities for co-curricular activities and grooming talent offer a wholesome package for students.
Besides, the practiced and foresighted advisory board and proactive management committee assure judicious support round the year. They envision radical plans to establish several schools at Buraidah, Jubail, Al Qassim and other parts of the Kingdom under the banner of Dunes International School very soon. The surfacing of Dhahran Buds International School at Golden Belt Al Khobar in September 2016 and its tremendous success is the outcome of dedicated and unremitting service in the arena of modern education. DBIS follows American curriculum for early childhood education and envisages emerging as a leading institution in its category in near future. It seems the saga of success continues at Dunes International School in pursuit of excellence to keep the future citizens in sync with the need of the years yet to come.
