In line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the conjoined Egyptian twins, Minnah and May, arrived at King Khalid International Airport here Saturday from Egypt. The twins are accompanied by their parents. The King issued directives to transfer the twins to the Ministry of the National Guard's King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh and to host the twins along with their parents. The objective is to carry out the necessary checkups and decide on the possibility of conducting a separation surgery on the conjoined girls, Saudi Press Agency reported Sunday. Immediately after arrival at King Khaled International Airport, the twins were transported to King Abdullah Specialist Children Hospital at the King Abdulaziz Medical City. They were received by a specialist medical team led by Adviser at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, who is also head of the medical and surgical team dedicated for Siamese twins' separation operations. They were also received by the Egyptian Consul General in Riyadh Hani Salah. The medical and surgical team immediately conducted clinical tests on the twins. They checked on the twins' health condition and decided to carry out specific tests to study their condition in the coming days. The twins were conjoined in the rear part of the head with adhesion in some membranes and arteries surrounding the brain. The parents of the girls expressed gratitude to King Salman while the Egyptian Consul General lauded the Monarch's generous gesture considering it "not strange of this nation – leadership and the people".
