JEDDAH — The Ministry of Labor and Social Development announced on Sunday the launch of an HRDF compass that will simplify navigation to the fund's electronic services. The service targets individuals and companies and hopes to make them reach the training and employment programs offered by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) quickly. The compass also aims to provide different options from which users can choose according to their needs. The new compass is available on the HRDF website for jobseekers, employees, entrepreneurs, students and businesses. Sami Bin Rashid, deputy general manager of customer care at HRDF, said there are two platforms. One of them will serve individuals and direct them to specific programs while the other is devoted to businesses. Rashid said there are 30 programs on the compass in all and choosing the right program is based on 22 criteria specified on the website. The criteria include occupation, age, need and the field. The compass will identify the best program that suits the individual or establishment, yet the participant can benefit from other programs, Rashid said, adding that both the compass and webpage are user-friendly.
