The 140th birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah was celebrated at PISJ-ES with fervor and reverence on Dec. 25, 2016. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Adnan Nasir said, "This day not only marks the birth anniversary of the father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah but also reminds us of the beginning of a new epoch of independence and individuality after the dark times of slavery, bonded servitude and unbearable challenges of cultural, ethnic and religious oppressions in a diversified continent of Muslims and Hindus." While addressing the students, Nasir emphasized the importance of education and said, "Jinnah was one of those few personalities who changed the course of history with his clear conviction, his timeless ideologies and commitment. We should value our independence and leave no stone unturned to make our country prosper and elevate it to the heights of that magnificence and splendor which the Quaid-e-Azam envisioned." He added, "Your foremost responsibility is to direct your sincere efforts to acquire the highest standard of education for the progress and development of your country." The program proceeded further with enthralling performances of students to pay tribute to the legendary leader. Little angels from Grade 1 enacted the sequel of significant events in making Pakistan in the form of a tableau. The energetic students of Grade Two exhibited the beautiful colors of the nation's rich culture and heritage in a fascinating performance of patriotic songs, which extended further on a supplicatory hymn for the perpetual existence of Pakistan as a land of peace and bastion of Islam. The Quaid's everlasting and inspirational quotes were commemorated by the hosts of the program. Principal Nasir urged the students to read Jinnah's biography to learn to plan and mould their future aspirations with set objectives and goals in the light of his legendary thoughts and beliefs. He also reminded the audience of the Quaid's strong belief that "With unity, faith, discipline and selfless devotion to the duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve." A documentary highlighting the life of Quaid-e-Azam was also screened before the program ended.
