Pakistan International School Jeddah English Section on Thursday organized Pakistan's National Day presenting the true colors of the country's heritage and culture. Several Saudi and Pakistani dignitaries attended the function sponsored by many Saudi companies. Zaigham Uddin Azam, Consul General of Pakistan, in his inaugural speech said, “this day of national independence reminds us of our past history when on 23rd March 1940 a resolution was passed at Lahore for the creation of Pakistan. Hundreds of thousands laid down their lives for their homeland. Pakistanis should continue in their struggle to strengthen their homeland with unity, faith and discipline as advised by the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.” Sehar Kamran, school's acting principal said the institution aim is to provide an environment that generates belief in Islamic values. “While giving each student equal opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and abilities to their potential, we place high premium on the inculcation of spiritual and humanitarian values at every level,” she said.
