The Middle East International School (MEIS) Riyadh recently organized a delightful Food and Fun Fair festival for grade 3-5 CBSE boys section. The event was full fervor and excitement. The fair was inaugurated by school principal Tabassum Farooqi. The colorful stalls and the visually inviting placards and posters converted the school ground into a carnival. A variety of delectable, mouth-watering dishes were put up at various stalls. The students made a beeline at each stall to get a taste of their favorite food. The amusement stalls were the highlights of the day. Both the students and their mothers had an exotic journey of savory food and exciting games. "One of the things we've changed over the last couple of years is to get the kids to learn more about other culture and traditions," said Farooqi. The fair ended with foot tapping dance numbers by groups of ecstatic boys. "Such fairs present our students with loads of sweet memories to carry home to reminisce about," Elizabeth, the section supervisor, aptly commented. "We feel it's very important that we not only celebrate the rich mix of cultures that we have at the school but also encourage the children to learn more about other cultures," Elizabeth said.
