FOLLOWING its major success at EXCS & Riyadh Motor Shows, Nissan participates in the 38th edition of the Saudi International Motor Show with a display of its exciting line-up, and a local reveal of the all-new compact crossover "Kicks" and 2017 "Pathfinder", one of Nissan's most popular nameplates. The five-day Motor Show took place at Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events, last for five days from Dec.11 to Dec. 15, 15, 2016.
"Saudi Arabia represents a key market for us in the region, and therefore we make sure to always be present at major automotive events in the country" said Nissan Saudi Arabia's Managing Director, Simon Frith. "Nissan continuously emphasizes its promise of innovation that excites to the region, through the launch of a range of exciting new models during 2016, and the local reveal of our new compact crossover "Kicks" and the 2018 Nissan pathfinder."
Firmly rooted in the spirit of pioneering Japanese maverick engineers, where innovative solutions are applied in bold and smart ways to challenge the norm, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is redesigned with aggressive new exterior styling, increased power and towing capability and advanced driver assistance features. While the Nissan Kicks will be providing city-living customers Around View Monitor and Moving Object Detection systems, segment first in the region, to offer a step on the road to Nissan Intelligent Mobility.
Nissan's indoor stand and outdoor activities area feature the full line-up with distinguished experiences- an exciting range of vehicles that appeal to various tastes and requirements, that offer cutting-edge design, performance, innovation and reliability. In addition to the Nissan GT-R NISMO MY17, which was announced for the first time regionally in Jeddah earlier this October, the Nissan Patrol NISMO is also taking center stage. Nissan's presence at the motor show is not limited to a display of the full range of models available, but also includes Adel Hussein Abdulla's Nissan Patrol, which proved its grounds by dominating this year's Jeddah Rally and competed at the FIA World Championship to achieve the second place overall.
Additionally, a number of indoor and outdoor Nissan activities take place and include: Nissan Remote Control Drifting track which will hold a competition among RC drifters, kids area with innovative drawing methods, UEFA Champions League free kicks activity, Nissan Karting Track, 4x4 Patrol obstacles Experience, Test drives, as well as the Saudi Star Drift Championship that will take place during the last three days of the motor show. The Nissan 370Z Club also makes an appearance at the motor show on December 12 with a gathering of fifty 370Z cars together in one group photo session and a visit to the Nissan booths inside the motor show.
"Since we came to the Kingdom, Nissan has been building a strong and mature automotive brand, well known for exceptional quality, performance, innovation and reliability with an aim to go from strength to strength" continued Simon. "Combined with our long history of success, we believe that the Nissan brand is in a unique position to offer the best experience by a strong partnership with our local distributors Alissa and Petromin."
