All-new Patrol Desert Edition, NISMO brand debut in KSA
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 19 - 12 - 2015

As motoring enthusiasts and automotive fans from across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcome the 38th Saudi International Motor Show, Nissan has announced the debut of its Nissan Patrol Desert Edition and its world famous motorsport and road car performance brand, NISMO, for the very first time in the Saudi market.
The regional debut of the Nissan Patrol Desert Edition and the NISMO brand in Saudi Arabia, following the Middle East regional launch earlier, reaffirms the Japanese automaker's strong commitment to delivering tailored models for its large customer base in Saudi Arabia. The Nissan Patrol Desert Edition and the Nissan Patrol NISMO Edition are the latest models that take the Nissan Patrol legacy in Saudi Arabia to even greater heights.
"At Nissan, we listen to what our customers tell us about our brand and models and we ensure we deliver as per the specific demands to meet their expectations," said Managing Director of Nissan Middle East, Samir Cherfan. "We received resounding feedback calling for even more luxury and performance, both on the road and off it. We are therefore extending our range with some extremely special, bespoke versions of the Nissan Patrol. We are delighted to be showcasing our new Patrol Desert Edition and the all-new NISMO range, including the Patrol NISMO, at this year's Saudi International Motor Show."
Sheikh Najeeb bin Abdullatif Alissa, Chairman of Alissa Auto, Nissan's dealer in the Kingdom, said: "Our participation in this exhibition alongside our partners, Nissan, is a reflection of the continuous success that the Saudi International Motor Show has exhibited over the last few years. Nissan's participation has always enticed Nissan lovers due to its wide variety of models, which satisfy the different needs of Nissan fans, and lovers, who are always on the lookout for ‘innovation that excites'. Alissa is continuously growing its footprint to reach all its customers across the Kingdom through expanding its network of showrooms and after sales services as maintenance and spare parts centers. This expansion is driven by the growing demand of our customers and our commitment to satisfy our customers' needs wherever they are located," he added.
Nissan's regional research survey, conducted in 2014, highlighted that its customers across the GCC demanded even more luxurious and sporty version of the Nissan Patrol. This insight led to the development of the newly revealed Nissan Patrol NISMO, which the automaker announced today will be available before the end of its fiscal year*.
"It gives me great pleasure to share the price and availability details for the iconic Patrol NISMO," added Cherfan. "The first Nissan Patrol made its debut in this market back in 1957 and since then it had occupied a unique place in the hearts and minds of auto enthusiasts across the Kingdom. It has become a legacy and a story to be told through generations. With the addition of both the NISMO version and the Desert Edition, Nissan is engaging directly with its customers and delivering incredible vehicles that fit their precise requirements."
Nissan KSA's indoor stand also features Nissan's full line-up - an exciting range of vehicles that appeal to this market's love of engineering excellence, cutting-edge design and true value for money. In addition to both the NISMO range and the Nissan Patrol Desert Edition, the all-new Nissan Maxima is also taking center stage. The complete Nissan range also includes the MY2016 versions of the Nissan GT-R, Patrol, Pathfinder, X-Trail, Juke, Altima, Sentra, Sunny, Patrol Pick-up, and the Patrol Safari two doors.
There are also outdoor activities at Nissan's outdoor stand that include: Nissan Remote Control Drifting track, Nissan Karting Track, 4x4 Patrol Experience, Maxima test drive, as well as the Saudi Star Drift Championship that will take place during the last two days of the motorshow.
"Nissan goes from strength to strength in Saudi Arabia, Middle East region and around the world," said Cherfan. "We engage with our customers and the result is an astounding range of models that appeal to everyone, no matter what their requirements are. With the embracing of new technologies, Nissan will continue to be at the forefront of this great industry."
