The Ministry of Education will soon disburse financial aid to students living in remote villages, as ordered by Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah, Minister of Education. The aid is to encourage students to continue their studies. The students live in areas that do not have primary healthcare centers, water and electricity, malls and transport services. There are 596 male and female schools located in remote areas, according to the ministry, it was reported in Al-Yaum Arabic daily on Friday. Elementary students will receive SR150 a month for two full semesters while middle and high school students will receive SR300 for the same period. The Department of Student Services at the ministry called on school principals to provide it with documents to prove the aid has been given to beneficiaries. The documents should include information about a student's condition, the school's official stamp and the principal's signature. It should also be supported by a copy of the family card and bank account details. The ministry called on principals not to list the names of students who stopped attending school and to provide it with updated information at the end of each semester.
