Wayne Simmonds' two goals and Steve Mason's 30 saves lifted Philadelphia to a 4-2 win Sunday over the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena, the Flyers' fifth straight victory. Both of Simmonds' markers came on the power play, giving him six with the man advantage this season. Chris VandeVelde and Michael Raffl also scored for the Flyers. Calle Jarnkrok and Colin Wilson scored for the Predators. Canadiens 5, Kings 4 (SO): Max Pacioretty scored two goals and an assist and Alexander Radulov registered a goal and two assists as Montreal defeated Los Angeles in a shootout. Paul Byron scored the decisive goal in the fourth round of the shootout and Andrew Shaw also scored the Canadiens in regulation. Trevor Lewis, Drew Doughty, Nick Shore and Jeff Carter scored for the Kings. Red Wings 4, Islanders 3 (OT): Danny DeKeyser scored 1:02 into overtime Sunday night as Detroit edged New York at Barclays Center. Mike Green scored twice - and had a third goal, a potential go-ahead tally in the third period, overturned due to goalie interference on teammate Luke Glendening - and Henrik Zetterberg added a goal for the Red Wings. Petr Mrazek made 32 saves. Anders Lee, Johnny Boychuk and Josh Bailey scored for the Islanders, who had their three-game winning streak snapped. Jaroslav Halak recorded 31 saves. Hurricanes 1, Lightning 0 (OT): Phillip Di Giuseppe's first goal of the season gave Carolina an overtime victory against Tampa Bay at PNC Arena. With teammate Viktor Stalberg creating a distraction in front of the net, Di Giuseppe delivered a shot from the right side that beat Tampa Bay's Ben Bishop 1:29 into the extra period. The left-winger was in only his fourth game since being recalled from the minor leagues. Bishop, playing for the third time in four days, finished with 29 saves. Cam Ward, who hadn't played in two of the team's previous four games, picked up the shutout with 30 saves as the Hurricanes extended their home-ice winning streak to six games. Jets 2, Blackhawks 1: Andrew Copp scored the go-ahead goal late in the third period, and Winnipeg held on for a win over Chicago. Bryan Little also scored for the Jets, who earned their second road win in as many nights. Artemi Panarin scored the Blackhawks lone goal as their offense continued to struggle without injured captain Jonathan Toews. Wild 2, Oilers 1 (OT): Mikko Koivu scored the winner at 3:11 of overtime, giving Minnesota a victory over Edmonton. Koivu busted into the Oilers zone, danced around goalie Jonas Gustavsson and deposited a backhanded effort. Wild goalie Devan Dubnyk, who played 171 games as an Oiler, made 28 saves to earn the win. Flames 8, Ducks 3: Johnny Gaudreau had a goal and an assist in his return to action as Calgary trounced Anaheim at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Playing left wing on a line with center Sam Bennett and right-winger Alex Chiasson, Gaudreau scored on his opening shift after missing the past 10 games with a fractured finger. Bennett and Chiasson finished with a goal and two assists each to give the line eight points.
